Artisan Wednesday Wow ~ Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Welcome back to another week of Artisan Wednesday Wow! Each week, I’m so excited to see what the entire team has come up with and hope that we inspire you to get out your stamps and create!  Since next week is another special edition of our hop, today is our last post using the products we’ve been featuring in November. .. one stamp that many of the other girls have featured and I was sure I would NEVER use myself, has made it’s way to my stamp table and I have to admit after seeing all of their inspiration, I was actually excited to put a little bit of ink on this guy!

There’s not much more that can put you into a festive mood than hearing the sound of children singing, ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ or a host of other Christmas Carols!  As soon as my boys saw today’s project, they both burst into song and I couldn’t help but join in with them!  Today’s project is a perfect little companion to take along with you to keep you in the mood and to keep track of your shopping while hustling and bustling around this shopping season!  This cute little Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Notebook is what I’ve created to share with you today.

I stamped the deer image from the Remembering Christmas  stamp set with Versamark Ink on Early Espresso Coredinations Cardstock and then heat embossed it with Early Espresso Embossing powder.  I ‘fussy’ cut the image with my favourite Paper Snips and then stamped the image up again and heat embossed the same way on a piece of window sheet to lay over top of the hand cut image.

The hand cut image is actually adhered to a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock that has the lyrics to ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ on it.   I received a super cute card from the talented Catherine Sanders in my Founders Circle swaps.   She had typed up the lyrics to Santa Claus is coming to town to create background paper and used it with the Santa image from Santa’s List.  I love her card so much that I’ve added it to my Santa’s List stamp-a-stack next week.  Come stamp with me and make your own next Tuesday Nov. 26th.  Thanks Catherine for the inspiration that I used here to create this Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer background.

To finish off the overlay of my notebook and to lend to the feel of a Christmas Carol, I layered a piece of the music note paper from Modern Medley DSP on the Window Sheet and then ‘bound’ the cover to the notepad with a strip of DSP from Season of Style DSP.

I hope this little notebook has put you in a festive spirit.. I know all of us in my family have ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ stuck in our heads right now!  Let’s go see what Becky has to share.. perhaps her or one of the other girls on the way through to Mercedes will have something that will put a new song in my head!  What’s your favourite Christmas Carol?

Oh my goodness…I still haven’t inked up Rudolph, but hopefully I will before Christmas gets here. This is so amazing…love the lyrics for the background.
